Meet Dina, our Owner

About Us

To say Dina hates moving is an understatement.  She moved nearly once a year during her middle school and high school years. By the time she went to college she was very familiar with dumpster diving (Gross). She visited grocery stores too ask store managers for boxes and they usually had some.  Today most stores compact their boxes immediately leaving this option no longer available.

So in her later moves what else could she do but purchase card board boxes…AND tape. Making multiple trips to the store trying to figure out the amount of boxes needed was incredibly frustrating.  She always ran out and had to make a box run. Playing a tumbling tower game while packing a truck wasn’t a favorite of hers either. Not to mention taping every single box. (so much tape) Then what does she do with the boxes when unpacked?  She had to break them down into smaller pieces to fit into her already full garbage receptacle – little by little. She would have loved the moving bin/box rental service and looks forward to her next move using them.

How U-Pack Bin Rentals was Created

As children, Dina and her husband Lee both moved often in their growing up years. When they were introduced to this concept they saw tremendous need that could be filled in their local community.  With no recycle program available — cardboard boxes continue filling up local landfills. Renting out reusable plastic moving bins to customers will help eliminate the waste issue while giving our customers an eco-friendly option.

Part of this Community

Dina has been part of the community since January 2015.  Her husband  has been a part since middle school and graduated from Pelham High. They have six children as a blended Brady Bunch family.  With Lee being former Marine, a Persian Gulf War Veteran and Dina having parents that moved a subtstantial amount, they both know a thing or two of how stressful the process can be.

 An Opportunity to Help!

As a business they envision alleviating the stress and adding smiles to customers faces.  Picking up these bins from a new home and listening to customers rave over the simplicity of the process is a tremendous win for this family run business. It is much more than facilitating a relocation. It is an opportunity to support their community during an already stressful transition. In addition, each  product rented is making a difference in a local Domestic Violence Survivor’s healing journey. Click here to learn more.

Plans for the Future

Aspiring to collaborate with moving services that complement their business and local realtors is a goal for them to reach. For instance, as they grow they plan to refer customers to other local businesses who they have vetted such as packing, storage and transportation companies. They also plan to feature realtors. These comprehensive solutions will help take some of the load off. Lastly they plan to incorporate their Brady Bunch tribe, teaching them the importance of serving their community while offering a service people NEED.
